Beach House Design File {reading area} Part 2

{PART 2}

Here is the second part to my two-part design file on the reading room or reading area I would like to create in my future beach home.   I love to read and my obsession with magazines can get out of control.  So, I thought I would create a space I could keep all of it under control.  I have switched over to an IPad for most of my reading now to save space.  I have been contemplating getting a Kindle because I have a hard time reading in sunlight with the IPad.  Also, I have little paws that live with me that seem to have it more than I.  Again, this is just a thought.  The bottom photo is the first post I created on this topic and it gives you the total feel and look of this space.

If you had or maybe you do now have a reading room or area in your home how would you decorate it, modern, traditional, contemporary, a true library, or beach theme?  Please feel free to leave a comment I would love to know.

I also love that chair and pillow – very comfy! I would definitely decorate in a beachy theme. So peaceful for a reading room. I think linen, burlap, or bamboo shades lend such a beachy vibe to a space. Layers of white & aqua and jute area rug do it for me! Love all you do!!

Hi Sally! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Oh I love that chair I live not far from that store and they have an outlet and I try hard to stay out of there!

I’m totally in love with the chair and pillow shown above – they’d be perfect in my reading room. Love your blog too!
