You Might Need Bodega Bay Lodge

I thought I might need a getaway this weekend.  It’s hot in Texas and for 23 straight days it has been at least 100 degrees.  I know some of you are going through the same heat wave.  But, it makes it much harder when half of your air conditioning system goes out on Sunday and you are hoping when you call the repair man he will be here today with bells on.  Let’s just say I am hoping with a big “hope”  he is just as eager to climb into my attic and take a look at our system.  I think that attic has a temperature of at least 125 degrees so I am feeling sorry for him ahead time.

So if this is not fixed within next 24 to 48 hours the Bodega Bay Lodge might need to see me for a few days.  Isn’t this a wonderful find?  It’s located one hour north of the Golden Gate Bridge alongside the Sonoma coastline.  I just love when I find wonderful relaxing places such as this.  It seriously makes me want to hop on an airplane and take a trip without planning and stay for a bit.  Have any of you ever gotten a wild hair and just stayed somewhere unknown, hopped on airplane to an unknown destination or just made plans for something so out of the ordinary that it just shocked you that you did it?  Well, I must say I have not but have often thought of doing it.

I admit the beach views got me at first glance, but my oh my look at the rooms.  I believe I spy a fireplace in the room.  The lodge would be a great place to relax in the winter or summer.   It’s nice to find places to relax with beach views and it doesn’t matter what the weather conditions are.  And just because it’s cooler outside doesn’t mean you desert the beach it’s even better then.  We will talk more about that when the season changes.  The rooms remind me of a small home away from home.  The views of the ocean are fantastic and the pool side views well they speak for themselves.  Some activities you might enjoy while relaxing here are horseback riding, golfing, deep-sea fishing and hiking.  I think there’s plenty to indulge yourself with don’t you.  Hope you are having a fantastic Monday.

Hi C, Bodega bay lodge looks like the spot, and no better place than sonoma. With a view of the beach like that and that awesome pool. I can imagine myself traipsing about with a lucky lady, sipping on a great bottle of pinot grigio and indulging in some late night frolicking by the pool. great getaway idea

Hello my texan bloggy friend

Oh you poor thing with the heat – I know our summer will be upon us before we know it too.
We will be in for a hot one again and a long one too.

I think just go for a few days anyway – air conditioning or no air condition fixed.

Lets just call it research.

take care and hope air conditioning is up and running ASAP for you.

What a great get-away.. dinning with that view, the rooms look wonderful, love the one with the corner fireplace that steps out onto the deck.. However my fave spot would be sitting on those rocks..
