It’s Get Away Week And All Of Us Are Going

Yes, I am declaring it “Get Away Week” now at Beach Coast Style. Why? because I am going to need it by the time this week is over, school starts and it takes me days to get back into focus and on schedule.  It is not the children it is me that has this issue. The other issue is the stock market has not been cooperating much with me lately. If you have not gotten a chance to see my about page, I am stock trader by day and beach house dreamer each and every day. I need the stock market to go a bit more in my favor, so I can get my dream beach house in a couple of years. If any of my blog readers are in the financial arena, you probably know quite well the roller coaster the financial markets have traveled. I thought I would take you to breathtaking places with magnificent beaches, comfortable rooms and excellent food.

The first place on the list is Ocean House located in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. I think this place is just fantastic. It has all the things I need a comfortable bed for resting, wonderful beaches for relaxing, frolicking around and fabulous food. One of the neat points about Ocean House is the two versions of accommodations. Ocean House gives you a couple of choices a standard room overlooking the beach more hotel style accommodations or cottage styled vacation homes. Yes, you have the option of staying in a home with all the amenities of hotel living.  I have never stayed where you were given the option of traditional hotel style accommodations or cottage vacation homes.  I think I might select the cottage style home for this stay.  Which style do you prefer?  I am guessing most will want the individual cottage homes.

Thanks Meredith for stopping in. I love when I post about a destination and one of my readers has visited or knows the history of the place.

I absolutely love this inn. I’ve gone by it many, many times up in Watch Hill. The renovation looks fantastic! It was getting a little rumbletumble there for a while, though it was still a very compelling place. Thanks for posting!

Yes, you are right. I’d prefer the cottage home! I love privacy, quiet, and the feeling of being at home. Delightful place, and not toooo far from me!

I haven’t checked my portfolio for a while. Since I got a job, I’m going to just let it roll. Good luck to you in getting your dream home early! 🙂

Thanks for taking me along… I’ll be there at each and every new and fab place!!! xox

I live an hour away from this place and have watched it growing very tired. I was so happy when they rebuilt. Watch Hill is a great spot!!

Um WOW!!! This is gorgeous! Every inch of it! I would love to stay in something like this but if I had to choose a place for just me, it would be a small cottage by the sea. 🙂
I hope the stock market starts getting better, this economy needs a huge boost!!
Have a great day!

I am in on the much needed vacay!!! I hear you on the economy, I am not in the finance biz but I would love some good news from that sector! Anway, I LOVE staying at hotels but when you are doing it up island style or beach style I say a cottage is the way to go. I have stayed in the sweetest houses in St. John, and it was just awesome to wake up in your “own home” by the sea and ease in to the day. Hope you have a great day!

Hi Cynthia

thanks for inviting me and I will accept and go with you – it looks fabulous!

I have had the pleasure of choosing between beach house cottages right on the beach from the standard resort.
I chose the beach house – it was absolutely beautiful but less private and quite a lot more noisy.
It was very exposed and because it looked so beautiful – walkers by would always be looking in.
so… what would I do next time?

have a great week and I hope you get the lunches right for the first day 🙂
