2011-09-10 I really loved this home and it was all about the view. I love the idea of having a beach home with your bedroom windows not allowing for any coverings. It’s simple and a bit sexy I think. But, realistically you might need some window covers or the sun might wake you before you want to get up. Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!
This is just a little ole bitty house that happens to sit on top of a hill in sunny La Jolla, California and it happens to have the most fantastic view ever. Ok, it’s not really a small home it’s actually rather massive. I noticed in my web cruising about this home that it has been used as a back drop for a few commercials. How cool would that be to have a company want to use your home as a prop. I mean really it’s your home. It is mind-boggling to me there are people who have the financial capability to buy a home this expensive. I mean 19 million is just a scary amount to me. I am trying to digest what the monthly mortgage payment would be. Well, maybe I won’t.
The home is decorated simply, not much of a fuss and the rooms were built around the views. I only included the bedrooms because my imagination started to run wild. I started daydreaming about waking up there or standing in front of the ceiling to floor windows and getting lost in the ocean view. I am throughly convinced ocean water has some type of magical powers.
I have included the link to the commercial that was filmed at the home here. The film made me think of James Bond but it’s a she. Watch it.

I LOVE this house. I am an architecture student and I did a residential case study model of this house last year. So beautiful!

Gorgeous. People with places like that charge film companies to shoot their homes. I’ve heard from my sister that some places like that can be rented for photo/film shoots for amounts like $10K a day. That might pay your mortgage…. maybe… lol.
I want to live like that for at least a little while…. it would be amazing to wake up to that view!!!!
