Wild Mustangs Of Carnova Beach

Hello, hope all of you had a great weekend.  It’s Monday and I need major inspiration to get me up and moving creatively about.  So, I bring to you the Spanish mustangs of Carova Beach, North Carolina.  The mustangs live and frolic along the sand dunes.  If you are lucky while visiting you’ll get a glimpse of them.  But, if you are lucky enough to live there you might see one take a bite of the grassy area near your beach home.  The photos above are just wonderful, they capture the essence of these wonderful animals and the life in which they live amongst the people visiting and the locals who live about.  I have a special place in my heart for horses on the beach.  It’s just something about them that generates a happy spot.

Hope all of you have a great start to your week!

Cynthia, I might not have wild mustangs at my beach house but we had a kangaroo on our lawn (nicknamed Rocky) – he was here every night for over a year but we had to shoo him away because he was eating & shredding our beautiful lawn. He would come to within 1m of the house & give me the fright of my life coming up from my studio in the dark. My friends think it’s hysterical because we’re all from the city. Love the romance of the wild horses & love horse-riding on the beach!

I agree it’s just something about wild horses being on the beach that just stirs the senses!

These images are enchanting. There is something, isn’t there…about horses on the beach. Wild freedom.
