Well, here it is my word for 2012!
Let’s talk about this One Little Word. My word for the New Year will be “DO”. I selected this word because I needed something to make me do it. I get tons of inspiration, hope and tingly good feelings but often it’s just hard to get to doing it. My words for 2011 were “Move Forward”. In 2011, I needed two words. I needed to make a list, think about what I needed in my life and take some form of action. So, I got some things going. I made some massive amounts of decisions, now I just need to finish it all off with a big “DO”. And that means getting it done, making the phone calls, calling in others to do the work and so forth. I have made one step and that’s to get my home painted inside. The next one is to stake out on the beach where I want to live, and what type of living there I want for myself.
The One Little Word and the whole concept of putting it together on paper, journaling or scrapbooking it came from a class I took last year. I have followed along with her for a number of years. But, last year I wanted a bit more and took the class. The name of the class is One Little Word and if you are into scrapbooking at all you will have heard of Ali Edwards and the marvelous way she tells her life story via photos and scrapbooking. I took her online class and absolutely loved it. She sends out monthly prompts, videos and great presentation materials to work from. It really keeps you on target. I didn’t keep up exactly perfectly all last year, but I did do the basics and caught up when I needed to. It really did help. If you have not done it or known about it you can catch the whole class and details here. I really think you will get a lot out of it. And you don’t have to be a scrapbooker to go through the class. She even has a way to do via Microsoft Word.
So, let’s see how I “DO” next year! I hope each one of you have a fabulous ring into 2012!
