Beach House Wednesday~My Beach Home

Yes!! I did it!  I made the decision to buy a beach home this past week while I was on Spring Break!  And I am so excited I can hardly keep myself still.  I could not have found the more perfect place for myself and my family to enjoy.  It’s a two bedroom town home located just off the beach.  I’ve scouted this little area off  the gulf for over two years!  Yes, two stinky years before I decided to make this real.  It just takes me a long time to made decisions sometimes.  It’s the perfectionism in me that can sometimes be crippling.  This is really this is a great space for me.  It’s literally just a short walk from the beach.  I can hear, see and enjoy the ocean from every space in the home.  It has a fireplace, which won’t get much use on the island.  The temp in Texas in that area the average low I believe is about 46.  So, the fireplace is probably more for show, but I really wanted one in my beach home.  The house is furnished as you see.  Of course, there are a few changes I would like to make to it, but over time I will make them and display a bit of it here.  I spent the last week here and did not want to come back home.  So, now you know what I have been up to.

Take Two Tuesday~Hands and Toes

I love nail polish!  a little confession I have way more than I need, but I don’t hoard too much of it.  Just a teeny tiny bit.  And I love bright vibrant colors.  So, it was nice to see Zoya‘s new beach and surf line for spring!  If you have not heard of Zoya, I highly recommend their polish.  It last a little longer than others I think, love the formula and the selection of colors is just unbelievable.  Also, they don’t use any of those nasty chemicals such as Formaldehyde, Toluene, Camphor and Dibutyl Phthalatef.  If you like matching nail polish with a special outfit or looking for a unique color, chances are they have it.  I also, like the names, I bet if you look you will probably find your name.  Which two do you take?

I love these, and would love a new mani. walking and playing with the pups don’t allow mine to last. Hope you are having a first day of spring.

Pin It Monday ~ Natural Elements

Hello!  Hope all is going well with each one of you!  I had a little spring break, which was surely needed! If any of you are on spring break this week or last, hope you had a fantastic time.  And here’s to really hoping you got a chance to spend time with your family and relax a bit.

Pin It Monday has me thinking of all things natural.  While I was walking the beach this past week.  I found many natural treasures such as interesting she shells, little water animals that didn’t survive and interesting driftwood pieces.  I picked up a really cool piece of driftwood I am going to try to make a candle holder out of it.  Again, the word is try.  But, I think I’ve seen a few of you tackle that project, so I will follow your lead on that one.  I really love natural elements such as sea fans, a little spot of greenery and deer antlers are a huge hit with me.  What natural elements do you like to see in your home?

This is so me & the way I like to decorate – I would add coral to your list – I love the organic shape of it and the pure white colour!
