Pin It Monday ~ Natural Elements

Hello!  Hope all is going well with each one of you!  I had a little spring break, which was surely needed! If any of you are on spring break this week or last, hope you had a fantastic time.  And here’s to really hoping you got a chance to spend time with your family and relax a bit.

Pin It Monday has me thinking of all things natural.  While I was walking the beach this past week.  I found many natural treasures such as interesting she shells, little water animals that didn’t survive and interesting driftwood pieces.  I picked up a really cool piece of driftwood I am going to try to make a candle holder out of it.  Again, the word is try.  But, I think I’ve seen a few of you tackle that project, so I will follow your lead on that one.  I really love natural elements such as sea fans, a little spot of greenery and deer antlers are a huge hit with me.  What natural elements do you like to see in your home?

I love shells, coral and driftwood – definitely my favourite way to decorate. Welcome back! 🙂

This is so me & the way I like to decorate – I would add coral to your list – I love the organic shape of it and the pure white colour!

A Little Resort Get Away…We Need One

I decided to post this photo here because it got lots of buzz on my Facebook page.  This resort spot has some really unique touches.  Can you imagine waking up and taking in the cool ocean breeze with a warm cup or coffee or tea?  home is.  I have always been a huge fan of spiral staircases.  I remember being a young child thinking I would put one in my home when I get bigger.  Ok, I am bigger and I have no spiral staircase.  Does anyone out there have a spiral stair case in their home?  Or visited a beach home that did?  This place is located in Centara Grand Island Resort @ Maldives.  You can read more about it here

Thanks for the birthday wishes Cynthia, I just arrived back from Sydney but after seeing this photo – I feel like I need another holiday!!! It reminds me of the overwater bungalow we stayed in our holiday to Bora Bora last year! Very luxe!

sigh….what a beautiful retreat! I think I could handle waking up to mornings like that. No spiral staircase but I do love them, very romantic.

Beach House Wednesday~A Little Bit Of Modern

I am not a true fan of a total modern design beach home, but this one so hit’s my fancy.  I love all the clean lines and the fact there just isn’t much in this room, but the few pieces that are so tie it all together.  The art work is fascinating!  I think I will put this on my list of future tries at painting this one.  The view, well there are no words.  It’s just absolutely stunning!  It would be fun to just spend a week there to imagine.
