Lovely sentiment, I was hoping to hit South Padre but all this rain has me thinking I better wait for the long weekend. Have fun this weekend!

We’re Flying High Today

I have a confession.  I didn’t want to do anything today.  Seriously, I just wanted to crawl back in bed, keep the lights off and stay under the covers until night-time.  Do you ever have days like that?  I only do on occasion, and when it is thrust upon me, it takes me hours to get out of the funk.  But, then I go ahead, get up, get going and try to think of something positive to keep me moving along.

I posted these pictures because I let out one of the biggest “wow” I’ve had in a long time.  Can you imagine being at the beach and seeing an airplane fly above like this?  It would totally freak me out.  The photos were taken in St. Marrten.  Anyone been there?  If so, did you see this?  I am assuming this is the regular flight pattern for this airline.

I feel the same way today. In fact, I am still in my jammies. Love the rain but it does put me in a funk.

LAX is right by the water so when you fly out of LA and are headed pretty much anywhere the plane goes right over the Pacific and then turns around if you are going east or keeps going if you are going to Hawaii. Still these images are striking and I would love to go to St. Maarten

It is the regular flight pattern! I have seen many pictures of this… with the planes flying right above beach umbrellas. Very freaky… and loud!!

It’s Something Special Open It Up

Hello there…how many of you have gotten a chance to view this photo?  I must say I was hooked the very first time I came across it.  I found an image of some sparkling shoes on another blog, and she explained a little detail about them, noting they were called cinemagraphs.  Ok, I had not heard of them before.  The closest thing photography I could think of were gifs, like the one I have posted in my side bar.  I meant to post it some time ago, but I forgot about it and couldn’t figure out how to get it to post and have all the movements reflected.  The photo makes you feel as if you are there don’t you think?  A little secret about me, I read lots of techie blogs.  The amount of information and creativity is just amazing to me.  I found this image there.  A little bit of a nerd I am…probably.

Cynthia, the more I read your blog and see your Pinterest posts, the more I wish we could hang out!! This cinemagraph is amazing! Wow. So much like laying on the sand, and watching the waves splash up with a friend. I needed this!! Thank you!

Very Cool Cynthia, I have seen these type of pictures with movement and I think they’re so fun. I’m also slightly on the techie nerdy side 🙂 Love your blog! Have a great day! Ana

The photo is gorgeous and so much more because of the movement. I will have to go check it out.

Isabelle and Hervé: “Breathtaking sea views, unspoilt nature, welcoming locals and pristine white sand beaches: if you’ve been dreaming of a forgotten paradise… open your eyes, you’re here! And you will never forget it!”

I think the owners of this luxurious beach house are a bit smitten with it.  I am to.  The view is spectacular and it’s located in Lamu, Kenya.  A big wow is all I can say.  It’s something about the combination of rustic, combined with nature overlooking pristine waters that make my toes want a dip.
